Eucalyptus Oil (Eucalyptus Globulus)
The Airway Liberator & Sauna Classic

What is Eucalyptus Oil? The essential oil of the Tasmanian Blue Gum (Eucalyptus globulus) is the epitome of freshness and deep breathing. Native to Australia, the strongly scented oil is distilled from the leaves. Its main component is cineole (eucalyptol), which is responsible for the typical, medicinal-clear "sauna scent".
🗁 Clear Breathing & Cold Season
Eucalyptus oil is the undisputed star during the cold season, especially in baths and inhalations.
- Expectorant: The vapors help to loosen stuck mucus in the bronchi and make coughing easier.
- Clearing Airways: The intense scent immediately provides a subjective feeling of a clearer nose and deeper breathing.
- Antiseptic: It has germ-inhibiting properties and supports the body's defenses.
💪 Muscles & Vitality
The oil is a relief not only for the lungs but also for the musculoskeletal system.
Topical application:
- Circulation-Boosting: Applied to the skin (in creams or oils), it promotes microcirculation and warms the tissue.
- Muscle Relaxation: Ideal after sports or for tension, to prevent muscle soreness and support regeneration.
- Cooling Effect: Similar to menthol, it can initially trigger a pleasant cold sensation on the skin.
⚠ What you should watch out for
Not for the littlest ones: Eucalyptus oil is very intense. Due to the risk of laryngospasm, it must not be used in the facial area of infants and small children (not even as inhalation). For asthmatics, the intense stimulus can also be problematic – caution is advised here.
