Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis)
Liquid Gold & Skin Balancer

What is Jojoba Oil? Although we call it "oil," the extract from the seeds of the Jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis) is chemically actually a liquid wax. This is exactly what makes it so unique: It does not go rancid and is almost identical in structure to human skin sebum. The evergreen desert shrub withstands extreme drought – a resilience it passes directly on to our skin.
🧡 Balance for Every Skin Type
Since Jojoba oil is so similar to the body's own sebum, it is absorbed extremely well by the skin and regulates it without clogging pores.
- For Oily Skin: It signals to the skin that there is enough "oil," which can curb the skin's own overproduction of sebum.
- For Dry Skin: It forms a delicate, non-greasy protective film that reliably locks moisture into the skin.
- Elasticity: Contains Provitamin A and Vitamin E, protecting against premature aging and keeping connective tissue elastic.
💇 Shine & Care for Hair
Jojoba oil is a miracle cure not only for the skin but also for hair and scalp. It is extremely light and does not weigh hair down.
Application on Hair:
- Nourishes brittle ends and adds natural shine without leaving a greasy film.
- Soothes itchy scalp and can help reduce dandruff.
- Serves as an ideal base for hair masks, as it transports active ingredients deep into the hair shaft.
⚠ What you should watch out for
A Wax, Not an Oil: Since Jojoba oil is chemically a wax, it solidifies at temperatures below 7°C (45°F). This is not a defect, but proof of authenticity! At room temperature, it becomes liquid again immediately without losing quality. It is extremely oxidation-stable and therefore has a very long shelf life.
